Hack the Hood is a free, non-profit tech training provider based in Oakland, CA offering 14-week, part-time bootcamps in Tech Foundations and Data Science. Hack the Hood aims to expose students to both socio-technical issues and skills to support their intersectional tech identity development. Students receive a $500 stipend and a free computer to support their learning.

Hack the Hood welcomes Black, Latinx, AAPI, and Indigenous learners 16-25 years of age, who are committed to attending and being actively engaged in classes to the Tech Foundations bootcamp. The Data Science bootcamp is open to students who have completed the Tech Foundations bootcamp and learners with similar experience.

Hack the Hood is designed to help underrepresented students develop a career in tech and career support is included in the curriculum. Career services include portfolio development, career coaching, and technical skills mentorship.
