Metana is an online tech training provider that offers part-time bootcamps covering Solidity (24 weeks), Rust (24 weeks), and full stack software engineering (16 weeks). Metana's Rust and Solidity bootcamps are designed to help developers transition from Web2 to Web3, and the Full Stack Software Engineering Bootcamp is to help people make a career change into tech. The bootcamps are project-based and students will finish their course with a portfolio to show to potential employers. Metana holds office hours throughout the week and students can receive support from industry professional instructors.
The Full Stack Software Engineering Bootcamp includes a job guarantee and covers essential skills like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and React. For students who are more experienced with coding, Metana offers an Advanced Software Engineering Bootcamp that covers object-oriented programming, advanced data structures and algorithms, advanced JavaScript, and AI. The full stack bootcamps emphasize hands-on learning and project-based experience. Cohort sizes are kept small to ensure effective learning outcomes.
The Solidity bootcamp covers topics like Solidity, DeFi, smart contracts, wallets, Ethereum, NFTs, OpenSea, staking, gas and gas fees, zero-knowledge proofs, and layer 2. The bootcamp is development-heavy to give students enough experience to make them job-ready.
The Rust bootcamp covers topics like Rust, dapps, smart contracts, DeFi, GraphQL, and the Anchor framework. Students will complete a group project during the program to demonstrate the skills they learned throughout the bootcamp.
The Rust and Solidity bootcamps are highly competitive with a rejection rate of almost 70%, and applicants should have 1-2 years of experience in the industry with knowledge in JavaScript, Python, Git, and Github. Applicants to the Rust and Solidity bootcamps will complete a short Web2 aptitude test before receiving a decision. Applicants for either of the Full Stack Software Engineering bootcamps will need to complete a coding test and go through an interview.
Metana offers 1-on-1 career support and access to a network of hiring partners. Full Stack Software Engineering bootcamp students also receive personalized mentorship and career coaching to support their transition into software engineering roles.
Metana offers several options for payment including installments and an ISA to provide more accessibility.
