Tech Elevator offers both full-time and part-time coding bootcamps that prepare students for a career as a software developer, starting with an Aptitude Test. Throughout the bootcamp, students learn Java, HTML, CSS, SQL, API, and JavaScript. The full-time bootcamp runs for 14 weeks, Monday through Friday, 9-4:30 pm, and the part-time bootcamp runs for 30-weeks with a mix of independent study, live lectures and small-group programming. Both programs have a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure the best supportive environment for participants. Tech Elevator's instruction is delivered in-person at campuses located in Cleveland and Columbus. Tech Elevator offers students beyond its core markets and throughout the U.S., class options through its National Live Remote program.
Tech Elevator’s career-readiness Pathway Program is responsible for high placement outcomes and includes personalized coaching sessions, interview practice, 12 months of placement support post-graduation, and alumni and mentor networking. Tech Elevator also offers its students and alumni direct connections to employers through employer showcases and interviewing events.

The hardest/most rewarding experience of my professional life

Rewarding from start to finish!
My experience at Tech Elevator was absolutely incredible! After 21 years in hospitality, I didn't feel like I was growing anymore, and I missed the rush that came with advancement. It would have been very easy to remain content in hotel management, but I knew that I didn't want to spend another 20 years doing it. So after speaking with some colleagues about the world of tech and all of the possibilities that it contained, I decided to take the leap of faith. A bootcamp was the most logic...My experience at Tech Elevator was absolutely incredible! After 21 years in hospitality, I didn't feel like I was growing anymore, and I missed the rush that came with advancement. It would have been very easy to remain content in hotel management, but I knew that I didn't want to spend another 20 years doing it. So after speaking with some colleagues about the world of tech and all of the possibilities that it contained, I decided to take the leap of faith. A bootcamp was the most logical starting point so that I could absorb as much pertinent information as soon as possible, while also bypassing the "fluff classes" and insane costs of going back to school.
I couldn't have been more happy by choosing Tech Elevator. Their curriculum is well structured, the instructors are industry experts, and the Pathway Directors were sincere advocates in job placement assistance.
Was the bootcamp hard? Hell yeah it was hard, but to go through it with other brave classmates that were enduring the same challenge, it encouraged an immediate camaraderie that I'll cherish forever.
As I type this, I'm 3 weeks removed from the bootcamp, and am proud to say that I just accepted a role as a project administrator (with prospects of growing into a Project Manager- IT role). Well Rounded and Real World
I attended National Live Remote (NLR-6) and my experience at TE was fabulous. There was a lot to learn and it was HARD, overwhelming and frustrating but I was well supported. Just as useful as the technical training was the soft skill training. That really made the difference in the end to me, all the help with my resume, LinkedIn and networking. And then the bi-monthly career coaching meetings after graduation until I got a job. Everyone was so supportive and helpful. Tech Elevator was the key to my career change.

A solid investment
I spent about 3 years teaching myself coding as a hobby, but I learned more in those few months with Tech Elevator than I ever did teaching myself. The job assistance was especially helpful to me, as I didn't have much Job / career experience at that point in time.

If you have the discipline/drive you might be able to teach yourself roughly the same skills within a relatively short period of time; there are books and online courses. Tech Elevator provides a chronologically structured curriculum, a certificate and help getting a job. Great experience and so glad I made the decision to enroll. I was fortunate to receive a job offer before classes finished but there is a lot of work involved behind the scenes. I applied to over 200 local or remote jobs, 90+% were rejections or just no responses but you just have to keep applying.
Tech Elevator will give you all the tools you need to succeed. Before you begin classes I would do as much coding prep as you can on freecodecamp or Udemy. I was greatly satisfied with the staff as well as the overall culture of the program. I was put into a class of 15 students with one designated technical teacher for half of the day. The other half of the program was completely focussed on the career preparation and it is known as the Pathways program. The Technical class gave me the skills and no-how to enter into a Jr. developer role and the Pathways program assisted me in things like resume building, mock interviews, as well as employer panels and much more. I only have positive things to say about the staff who is extremely attentive and works diligently to prepare their students for complete success and does so with an overall positive demeanor. A few people to mention who where extremely helpful throughout my journey where Andy Chong Sam, Peggy Kachevas, Sarah Breen and Margaret Green. I would highly recommend this program to anyone in search of a start in the world of Web.
