Learn User Experience Design at These 230 User Experience Design Bootcamps

I recently had the opportunity to complete the Le Wagon Web Development Bootcamp in São Paulo, and it was truly a transformative experience. Over the course of an intensive 9-week program, I was challenged to step out of my comfort zone and dive headfirst into the world of technology.

At first, I was a bit hesitant to join, mainly because of a few negative reviews I had come across about bootcamps in general. Many people doubt whether it’s truly possible to learn so much in such a short period of time. However, I’m here to prove that, with dedication and focus, it is absolutely achievable!

The curriculum was comprehensive, covering essential tools and technologies like JavaScript, Ruby, SQL, HTML, CSS, Ruby on Rails, Figma, Git, GitHub, and more. Through hands-on projects and collaborative teamwork, I gained practical experience that prepared me for real-world challenges in web development.

What made this journey even more special was the incredible support from the Le Wagon team and my classmates. The instructors—Eduardo Piccin, Laura Amaro, Patricia Kihara, Nicolas Enne, and Roberto Barros—were outstanding, offering guidance and inspiration at every step. Their expertise and encouragement were pivotal in helping me develop both technical and problem-solving skills.

Overall, this bootcamp was a game-changer for me, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to pursue a new career in web development. I’m excited to apply the skills I’ve gained to impactful projects and am grateful to Le Wagon for making this possible. If you're looking for a program that combines technical rigor, collaboration, and inspiration, I highly recommend Le Wagon! 🚀

I took the Product Management certification course. It was packed with information with fun instructors that had real-world experience. The coursework was helpful in integrating the lectures without being too daunting. The time flew by, but I feel much more prepared to go into the world and apply Product Management jobs. 

Review: Nucamp Bootcamp Experience

I decided to enroll in Nucamp because I wanted to transition into a tech career & It was definitely the right decision for me! The curriculum is well-structured, and the instructors are knowledgeable and supportive. The combination of self-paced learning and interactive workshops made it easy to grasp new concepts and apply them through hands-on projects.

One of the highlights of the bootcamp was the sense of community. The active online forums allowed me to connect with my peers and instructors, making the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable.

After completing the bootcamp, my goal is to continue growing as a developer and eventually specialize in front-end development. Nucamp has set a strong foundation for my career in tech, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me!

I started the Software Engineering career track with Springboard in September of 2023 and completed it in November of 2024. It took me longer than expected (10-11 months is the expectation) to complete the course since I had to balance my schedule with a full time job with work related travel and many life events but the Springboard team was very accommodating and allowed me to finish in a timeline that worked for my situation. 

I already work in software as a business systems analyst but taking the software engineering track was valuable for me because it helped me get more in depth knowledge in the technical side of my work and a deeper understanding of what the developers on my team work through day to day. The course material in Springboard provided me a good technical baseline to continue my education in software because it gave me a good principled understanding of software development and how current web based applications generally work. 

Despite some of the technologies and frameworks being taught in the course not being the latest and most popular in the industry, the understanding gained from this bootcamp allowed me to explore and pick up new technologies very quickly because it gave me a good foundational understanding of how web applications work. So I would recommend not reading into which languages/frameworks are being taught in Springboard as a detractor from taking this course. The material is of high quality and Colt Steeles videos are very easy to follow and well planned out.

The CareerFoundry Data Analytics Program is an intensive and thoughtfully structured course designed for those aiming to excel in the field of data analytics. From a personal perspective, the program is well-suited for individuals at any stage of their career, whether they are beginners or experienced professionals looking to refine their skills. It combines a comprehensive curriculum with hands-on projects, allowing students to build a versatile portfolio by tackling real-world data challenges.

One of the standout features of CareerFoundry is its mentorship model. Having a dedicated tutor and mentor throughout the program provides consistent, personalized feedback, which makes learning more effective.  True story, I tried to leave App Academy to attend another Boot Camp. They told me, “Hang on, stay focused, App Academy is a great Boot Camp. “ And since then, I knew I was in good hands.  App Academy is a great place to start programming. They are very understanding and fair! I love App Academy.

I don't even know where to start describing the experience of the last 9 weeks in the IN-PERSONtial UX/UI design bootcamp at Ironhack Lisbon. The quality of the training program is unbeatable. The professionals who make up the teaching staff are of the highest level, both as teachers and as human beings. The kindness and closeness, as well as the positivism in the low moments of such an intense experience, have made that, time after, I still feel moved when I remember them. Moreover, the on-site experience of the course has been crucial for me. I could not imagine it in any other format. The quality of the transmission of the contents, as well as the coexistence with the teaching team and the rest of my classmates, both in my course and those of WebDev and Data Analysis, would not have been of such a high level and would not have exceeded my expectations if it had not been in a face-to-face format. I highly recommend this formula. It feels like a summer camp and you feel it when you leave, but in this case you don't just take friends for life, you change your professional life forever. I miss you all!

MIT-PE is a fantastic professional education route! I took a summer fermentation technology course from MIT-PE in 2004. From the knowledge I gained in that one summer program, I became a senior scientist in fermentation and bioprocess engineering and was critical in the research and development of sustainable aviation fuel. It was natural for me to decide on MIT-PE when I decided I wanted to expand my skills into data science and learn Python, deep learning, machine learning, and AI. 

It is a super intensive 12- week program consisting of 8 courses with three main projects: a first coding and statistics project, an elective project and a capstone project. The courses are the following: Foundations:Python and Statistics, Data Analysis and Visualization, Machine Learning, Practical Data Science, Deep Learning, Recommendation Systems, Elective Project, and capstone Project. The first week of the actual program, you learn Python. The second week, you learn descriptive and inferential statistics. If you took statistics in college, imagine all that you learned in that one undergraduate course in one semester and compressed it into one week. That can give you an idea of the compression and intensity of the courses.  Each course has 30 to 40 mini videos no longer than 20 minutes. The stats course even had historical background videos. The videos get straight to the point and are very engaging. Each course also has live lecturers. These are world class Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) college professors performing real world research in data science, statistics, engineering and the biological and mathematical sciences. The professors give excellent live lectures focusing on concepts and thinking and really get you excited. here is a different MIT world class professor for each course. Those lectures are each 2 hours long during the week and you might have 2 to 4 per course. Each of the 8 courses also has case studies written in Jupyter Notebooks. On the weekends both Saturday and Sunday you have mandatory mentor 2-hour sessions each where mentors go cases by case through the Jupyter notebooks. During the mentor session is where the ‘Applied Data Science’ happens. You apply the concepts you learned from the professors in the case studies during the mentor sessions. The mentors are live and this is where you can ask highly detailed or code questions.  They offer incredible support through Slack. You are assigned your own program manager. Your program Manager is your cheerleader, facilitator and main support. The Program Managers and mentors are part of Great Learning. Great Learning is a learning facilitator, and they are the producers of all the mini videos that get into the details of the courses. MIT professors provide high-altitude concept live lectures. Great Learning provides all the support, mentoring and tutorials, and detail-oriented training. Great Learning uses real-world industry experts. This is a global industry with global experts in data science. Great Learning appears to be an India based company, so you learn mathematics, statistics, and data science concepts from Indian data scientists, engineers, and computer scientists. And they are beyond excellent! That is the beauty of online education. You can learn from the absolute best leaders in the field. MIT-PE leverages online learning by offering the very best instruction and instructors. The live lectures and mentoring lectures are all recorded that day and uploaded by the afternoon in case you miss them. I was on the west coast, so they were 7:00 am for professor lectures and 6:00 am for mentor lectures. The timing was not ideal, but I did it and it was worth it! They also offer written transcripts of all lectures and mentoring sessions.

 The program offers a lot of support, cheerleading and motivational support and empathy from the program managers is really nice and sometimes required. The mentored learning sessions are very practical, detail oriented and hands on applications of coding the concepts learned by the professors in their live lectures. The lectures from the world class lecturers are conceptual and big picture. The AI mentor is very helpful on the 3 main projects. Gemini is also very helpful. Plan on everything taking twice as long as you originally expected. 

Plan accordingly. I would recommend to anyone who is considering taking this program to understand the commitment required. It is not self-paced. It is rigorous. It is an intense workout. So be prepared.  But it will be one of the most rigorous and rewarding programs you can take. You will learn so much your brain will be exploding! They have complimentary starting courses to get you up to speed before the actual program session starts. Take advantage of the pre-course prep. Learn how to navigate around in Olympus learning platform before your ever attend program orientation. The lectures are usually 2 hours long. They do post recordings of them on the Olympus learning platform. You will probably have to go through them a few times because there is so much great information. Pre-read the class lecture slides and pre-reads before the lectures, watch the lectures without taking notes during the live presentations so you can absorb the concepts, tips and tricks the guest lecturers provide. Then go back and re-watch the lectures to take your notes. Focus on getting the concepts down to take the quizzes. Use the case studies to practice your work in Google Colab and Jupyter notebooks.  Your mentoring sessions on the weekends are also 2 hours long each day and they go through case studies.  Get two monitors. I wish I had had two monitors. One for the mentor describing the case study and one for the case study Jupyter Notebook open and operating in Colab. Just because you go through the case studies with the mentor does not mean you know what you are doing.  Copy the case studies and practice code in the case studies. Hands-on work is essential. This is a rigorous fully immersive learning experience.  When you get to the neural networks and recommenders, plan on doubling the time to complete projects. This is not because of the rigor of the coursework per se it is because you are using shared services in Google Colab.  In fact, once you hit the 5th course in the program, you might want to buy Google Colab Pro for $9.99 per month to get a higher ranking as a shared user and possibly increase your quota. Extract files only once per notebook. Extracting files exceeds your google quota if you do it more than once you will start to have all kinds of problems. This is a Google problem not MIT-PE problem.  When you do your projects, have a clear strategy and plan before you even start coding. Organizing code is important so as you learn the concepts and work in the case studies, pay attention to how the code is organized. It is fun! and model building is a BLAST! Once you are done with the program, you will probably want to go back to everything you couldn't do the first time and improve all your work. You need 60% in every class in the course to get the certificate. That is not 60% overall but 60% per each class and project. You will be pushing for 100%, but when you get down to time and the last few projects, you just always need to remember what you need for the certificate. Data Science is just plain fun! And MIT-PE and Great Learning ignite a passion for data science! So, get in there and just do it!  

The cost of my program starting in September 2024 was $3700 USD. It might be more now. But they do offer early enrollment specials and some different financing alternatives. I just slapped it on my credit card and thought of it as investment in myself. Data Scientists make anywhere from $80K to $500K USD so I figured it was a decent investment. 

 

I started out at Correlation One with little or no knowledge about coding but at the end of an intensive course training on software development I was able to learn new skills which will help me go a long way in my software development dreams . Correlation made it so easy, which few months back I never thought it could be so easy . The lead instructors and the teaching assistant and career coach were hands on with delivery cutting edge lectures and assistant. I recommend Correlation One anytime any day . 

 Thinkful was so helpful and I believe it was the solid foundation and starting point of my software development journey. I enjoyed studying with them and I felt like it was thorough and the lessons were on point with relativity and being complete.

Highly recommend to anyone starting out as a developer.

From the start, I immediately knew I was going to enjoy the course! I appreciated how the lessons had us look at the history of design, given that we needed to have that understanding of related principles; I found myself coming back to review them while I was working on my unit projects. Everything was built via scaffolding, and I felt that my skills consequently were being reviewed and tested within every new unit. And, when I did have some questions and/or issues about how to proceed, the mentor that Designlab paired me with was there for me! Honestly, the feedback given to me by him was incredibly helpful and it's things like these that really enhanced my overall experience. The caveat is that sometimes, your mentors might not be as responsive as you would like, so it can be hit or miss, but there's no questioning the fact that having one is something that should be the default. Finally, I loved how both the practice tasks and unit projects got me engaged to the point that hours flew by without me noticing! I didn't think I'd be this happy and excited to work on something like what Designlab has to offer, but I'm oh so happy that I found them!

The course was full of practical content coming from latest technologies used in industry. I have to put my 120% to learn new things covered in the course. it started from basic things like html and css and ended up with django and mysql. Real project and being hands-on through the course helped me to upskill quickly.
Joel, our main instructor, has an incredible depth of technical skills, particularly in software development. His ability to break down complex concepts into manageable lessons made a significant impact on my learning experience. The hands-on projects and real-world applications he introduced us to not only enhanced my technical proficiency but also sparked my passion for software engineering.

I had an awesome experience with them for the scrum product owner certification course. The faculty taught us for 2 full days straight and helped me to gain in depth knowledge of the certification.

Like many of us looking to advance our careers and finding ourselves searching quick programs, I compared a few different companies looking at prices and reviews. I almost didn't sign up for a bootcamp and wanted to do it myself with online courses. I couldn't really justify a remote camp because why not just do it through udemy otherwise? So I wanted something I could attend in person both for accountability and for atmosphere and environment. I also wanted something affordable.
The fact that the course was only 13 weeks was another big plus. I wanted to be done, and be working on my own projects and looking for a job. So this course gave me what I was looking for.
And hey, another huge perk? I was able to live in the student housing provided. :) The course was great! I would recommend it.

I completed the manual testing program and was very satisfied. Careerist has a convenient platform for classes, and managers promptly answered any questions I had. Overall, I had few questions about the program because it is structured in a way that everything becomes clear during the lecture. There are also free additional lessons if you want to delve deeper into a particular topic. I also like that there are tests and summaries available for use.

This bootcamp was super interactive and overall, very helpful. The student support system was consistent and available at all times. I honestly have no complaints at all since this was my first ever online bootcamp so I am very satisfied. Thank you HyperionDev!

And I took the live classes, which was only 9 weeks, compared to other bootcamps that usually take 3 to 6 months. Overall experience 10/10! and I'll be graduating tomorrow!!
