Chegg Skills (formerly Thinkful) provides every adult learner with a pathway to a rewarding career. This online bootcamp offers fast-paced, career-focused programs in Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, UX/UI Design, Digital Marketing, and Technical Project Management. These programs are offered in part-time and full-time formats. Students commit 20-25 hours per week in the part-time format, and up to 60 hours in the full-time option. All programs include personal mentor meetings, a custom-built curriculum, and Q&A sessions with industry professionals.
On top of learning the most up-to-date industry skills, students benefit from 1-on-1 mentorship, and receive career support from the day they enroll. Students continue to get personalized support from a dedicated career coach for six months after graduation, or until they’re hired. Each student graduates with a professional portfolio, interview experience, and the tools they need to navigate the job market. Students join a community of 3,000+ learners and mentors to get on-demand help and build a professional network.

Engineering flex - great experience
I had a great experience in the engineering flex program. The curriculum covers what feels like a really useful range of skills covering a full Javascript stack, starting with a good foundation in HTML and CSS, into the basics of Javascript and jQuery for DOM manipulation, and finally React and Node.js/Express to cover truly modern and seemingly in-demand Javascript frameworks. There is also a short but solid exposure to data science and algorithms, which felt a little less naturally int...I had a great experience in the engineering flex program. There is also a short but solid exposure to data science and algorithms, which felt a little less naturally integrated with the rest of the curriculum, but seems like an essential piece for job interviews and bridging the conceptual skillset gap between a boot camp grad and someone with a more traditional comp sci degree. I'm just now early in the post-grad careers phase, and have been extremely impressed with the structure: I'm assigned an individual career coach who I'll meet with weekly for awhile and then as-needed in the job search, and I've gotten a lot of assistance in job search strategy and materials development throughout the process. Also, although the quality of the mentor will necessarily depend on the individual mentor you get, my particular mentor was really awesome. He significantly exceeded my expectations not just about how knowledgable he was, but also how good of a teacher and communicator. This boot camp was even worst than my community college. They treat you like a bunch of kids. You can be dropped if you are late for 5 days since they mark you as absent. Graders, grade based on their personal preferences and even when several people work on the same project, some pass some fail! You can be working on the same assignment for months since every time a new person grades your assignment, there is a completely different set of problems to deal with. Thinkful data analytics flex is a wonderful program, for students and people looking to shift careers in data analysis. The course is well structured and rigorous enough to keep you engaged. The ability to meet with a mentor weekly is an amazing perk. My mentor guided me very well through out the boot camp. Software Engineering Nights and Weekends
The program overall like most boot-camps boasts lots of material and resources, but I believe that the most important part my experience was with the mentoring and post class career stuff. My mentor and I would talk about material and about other topics as well. While sometimes we didn't have a lot to talk about there were real gems that I appreciated later down the line. I regularly got a ton of resources and links to help in the search. My resume was redone about 3 times, got a couple extra interviews and got into a mock interview pilot program. Very nice for sure.
Lots of paired programming and capstone/portfolio opportunities for sure. Good mix of full extensive and quick start explanations which serve well when you are trying to set up a project from the ground up.
The accountability from the environment is something that I needed for sure but with that said, having a self study attitude is still needed otherwise you get caught behind. There can be a lot of reading but that's to be expected. Much like lots of things , you get out what you put in. Its really up to you to give it an honest try.
