Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.
To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.
Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a job guarantee.
Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Springboard Software Engineering Track
I learned a lot from this program about full stack development. There are even technical interviews that you get to experience at the end to see how well you would do in a live interview. I feel that the course has prepared me to get an entry level job in the software engineering field. I think the mentorship program could be done a little better, because sometimes the mentor will not always know how to answer your questions. You can change mentors if you need to though. Fine bootcamp, didn't get a job, bad refund

I enrolled in Springboard's software engineering bootcamp in 2023 and completed in 2024. They sell you on a "job guarantee" in which you will get your money back if you don't find a job in 6 months. The curriculum itself consists of basic and often outdated YouTube videos.
Their “mentorship” was definitely lackluster. It’s what you make of it, but your mentor is not going to get you a job at their company and is probably just trying to make some cash on the side and would probably rather be somewhere else.
To be eligible for their job guarantee (and the refund if you don't find a job), I had to apply to a certain number of jobs per week and make a certain number of connections. Per the contract, they extended the 6 month job search period to one year, which I was fine with.
After one year of applying, I did not get any jobs and had less than a handful of interviews. Springboard slow-walked approving my refund for several weeks, encouraging me several times to extend the job search period (why would I do that?), and then the kicker: approved the refund but said it would be paid out in 12 monthly installments over the next year. Yup—after applying to jobs for a year, they told me I’d have to wait another one before I could receive the refund. Some job guarantee! After complaining, they offered me to fill out a financial hardship form that they review “once a month” and can’t promise I’ll receive anything faster.
Overall: there’s much better bang for your buck out there. I don’t know a single person from Springboard who has gotten a job. Great Bootcamp with Amazing Support
Starting with a small amount of coding knowledge, this course did wonders and helped me learn so much. I will say that I much enjoyed the backend technologies that this bootcamp taught rather than the frontend technologies. There's a lot of information being taught and it can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you are trying to speed run the assignments. Also, I do recommend knowing a bit about javascript, html, and css. Things I liked about the course were the topics covered, mentors, career coaches, and support staff. Topics covered are relevant to today for the most part. For mentors there are a handful you can choose from and they will help you with any question you have. My mentor was fantastic and went above and beyond what I expected of him. The career coaches are super helpful when it comes to jobs and what people look for. The support staff is also great and will answer any questions or concerns you have fairly quickly.
Things I disliked about the course were the outdated code, dependencies, and price. Sometimes the starter code and dependencies were outdated but for the most part it was fine. As for the price it is on the higher side compared to other bootcamps.

Overall the Software Engineering Career Track Bootcamp at Springboard was great. I was able to gain a strong grasp on core S.E. topics and had lots of great guidance along the way. Manageable course content, good mentors, career coaching very mediocre.
Course content needs reviewing, it was not very helpful for a newbie to this industry like me. I still have a lot to learn now that I have graduated and am looking in this field for a job.
