Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.

To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.

Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a job guarantee.

Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Since Springboard was founded in 2013, 94% of eligible graduates secured a job within one year, earning an average salary increase of $26,000.

Springboard is a great eLearning platform and I had a great experience learning there!

I have enrolled for the  Data Science Career Track program at Springboard and I had a great learning experience there. Springboard has a very good course curriculum which guides from the basic to higher level. The course curriculum has two capstone projects and 14 mini projects which helps to understand the Data Science concepts very well. The best part of the course is they provide us a weekly call with an industry expert mentor who guides throughout the course and also they have unlimi...

    Great Mentor Experience

The mentor experience made this for me. My mentor was a very experienced UX designer and had lots of great knowledge. Some of the course material is outdated as this is an ever changing field, but my mentor helped keep me on track with the latest UX design trends. He also helped push my work and myself and I have much better portfolio because of him.

    UX Design

The course and structure are pretty strong. The mentorship is the highlight of the program. If you have a good mentor you have an amazing support system. The time frames are not accurate as mentioned. It tends to increase towards the end.
They should ideally have a longer IDP or give more job assistance.

    Software Engineering Career Prep

The Springboard Software Engineering Career prep is not worth it. You can learn all you need on free code camp or other online sources. I spent 490 dollars on this course and all it was videos. The instructor Colt Steele is great, however, there needs to be WAY more practice problems after the videos. There are 3 units HTML, CSS, and Javascript and the course itself should take about 6 weeks. Only one assignment is looked at by a human being, which is fine, however, it would be nice if t...

    Hi Lauren,

Thank you for taking the time to share about your experience, we're sorry to hear that our program did not meet your expectations. We set a really high standard at Springboard to support students towards a positive learning experience and are truly sorry that that standard was not met while you were in the course.

It sounds like you would have benefited from having more practice opportunities with feedback from industry professionals. Providing such opportunities is an integral part of our course model, and we apologize if we came up short in your case. Our Software Engineering Career Track Prep curriculum consists of the best resources available for learning the foundations of software engineering, as curated by our team of both industry experts and instructional designers. Throughout the course, students have access to a number of resources and subject matter experts who can provide support and feedback on exercises: weekly calls with your assigned mentor (one each week for the full 6 weeks), Teaching Assistants available for live chat directly through the course dashboard, weekly office hours hosted by a mentor, as well as an online Slack community where students can ask and answer questions with their peers, alumni, and professionals in the field. If you were not aware of any of these resources and how to take advantage of them, that's a miss on our part, and we sincerely apologize.

We'd love to connect with you to hear more about your experience and learn how we could have done better. If you are open to discussing this with us, please reach out to advising@springboard.com and we'd be happy to schedule a call.

    Sincerely,
    Dave Austin

I had a great time and I learned a lot. The structure of the program was very helpful. My favorite thing was that you get to work at your own pace.

    Good things from Springboard

First some good - Springboard's UX Design Career Track course is pretty amazing. An opportunity to work and learn through the UX design process from start to finish. For me, it was a great chance to hone in on where I wanted to specialize - a chance to see weaknesses, strengths, gaps, etc. Now for the downside - if you choose this Springboard course (which I think you should), be prepared to set aside double the amount of time that is estimated to complete the course. Each project, each ...

    Data Analytics

Expect a solid grounding in SQL, MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and Presentation skills.  Everything you need to be a functional Data Analyst.  The platform they use is very slick and user friendly.  They intelligently use Business concepts, including Finance, Statistics, and Economics as a context to learn Data Analytics skills.  The curriculum will not teach these topics themselves, but provide context to create the feel of a real-world data analytics project.  Job search support...

    Great mentoring!

I had a great experience with Springboard and learned so much from my mentor and career coach.  I'd highly recommend this course to anyone looking to break into the field or looking to brush up on their skillset.  With the self-selected topics for capstones, you can begin to build your portfolio using the work you do in the course and get feedback on the work from someone in the industry.  Highly recommend Springboard!

    UX / UI Design Bootcamp

The bootcamp was great! It's intense, but I feel a lot more confident entering the field. My background is in hospitality, so I was worried about starting a new career in design. However, between the mentors, career coaches, and projects, I feel ready to start my new career! I also enjoyed the Slack community. I was able to meet a lot of new people through an online study group which helped me to learn faster and feel connected.

The one downside is that most of the curriculum is ...
