The Tech Academy is a trade school headquartered in Portland, Oregon that offers full-time and part-time bootcamps online and in-person at their Portland campus. The Tech Academy offers part-time and full-time bootcamps in computer programming, website development, cybersecurity, game development, mobile development, data science, front-end development, tech marketing, and tech sales. The immersive experience aims to create well-rounded technology professionals, and also gives students the option to take the course at their own pace. There are also no set starts dates or rigid scheduling. Students can enroll at any time, study from home, and choose whatever study schedule they would like.
The Tech Academy’s bootcamps cover topics including computer science fundamentals, programming basics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, C#, Python, Bootstrap, jQuery, React.js, project management, Agile, Scrum, MVC, version control, Java, and more. Each bootcamp also includes a Live Project, where students gain real-life experience to add to their resume as well as job placement assistance.
None of The Tech Academy's bootcamps require any tech background or experience. To apply, applicants need to take an IQ test with logic-based questions (to ensure applicants can read, write and perform basic math), followed by an admissions interview.
The final part of every The Tech Academy bootcamp is the Job Placement Course which covers interviewing skills, resume writing, where to find tech jobs, and gives students access to job placement staff who assist students in landing technical positions.

I enrolled in this boot camp for more exposure to the specific languages covered in the program and to get some official documentation for my resume to back up the skills I had already self-taught. This boot camp adequately served that purpose.
The program was definitely designed for someone with no prior experience. The program was definitely designed for someone with no prior experience. It covered the basics but never really went in-depth into anything and most of the assignments required little independent thought and lacked real world applicability. The portfolio you create during the program is mostly just following along with instructor videos and maybe making a minor customization or two. This is not something I feel comfortable claiming as my personal work product.
The instructors were responsive and helpful when I reached out.
If I hadn't needed the certificate, I would be far more disappointed that I paid $10k+ for someone to "teach me how to Google" (which is their constant theme throughout the program). I could have learned the same amount just by working my way through w3schools.com for free. I just completed my Python course. I have to say the people at the Tech Academy are super awesome. The instructors are really helpful, and the instructors for the live project were fantastic to work for.
I did it very fast pace as I was working full-time and doing the full-time schedule but they gave me some extra time to complete the project. Also, I had some life circumstances happen where I was not ready to take a tech job right away so they were really great in working with m...I just completed my Python course. Great Experience
I recently graduated from the C#/.NET Framework boot camp at The Tech Academy. The curriculum is great, starting the student out with Computer & Technology basics course and moving into Software Development overview, Version Control, GitHub, HTML, JavaScript, SQL & Databases, Visual Studio and C#/.NET Framework. The courses work is done in a gradient manner starting off with the basics and moving into more challenging topics. The curriculum is great, starting the student out with Computer & Technology basics course and moving into Software Development overview, Version Control, GitHub, HTML, JavaScript, SQL & Databases, Visual Studio and C#/.NET Framework. The assignments and challenges test your knowledge and ability to take what you've learned and research to build on it to find the solutions. The final Live Project is an Excellent experience and introduction to working in a development environment. The instructors at The Tech Academy are always there to help and are very responsive. This is a self paced boot camp, and you need to be disciplined in order to keep up and stay on track. The school is very understanding if family emergencies arise as well. I came into this with a Technical background, but the way they lay out the courses, anyone technical or not can become software developer. Great for working parents!
This bootcamp was an amazing experience for me! The course material is great! They can work you up from no knowledge to being able to land a junior dev job in short order. The online part-time option was great for me, as someone currently employed and father of two young children. I know a coworker that went through this program too and he also has young children. It is a rigorous curriculum and you will be challenged, but it is doable. I also want to mentioned how incredibly supportive ...This bootcamp was an amazing experience for me! A great experience
I was looking to refresh my skills as a developer and pick up a new tech stack in the process. After doing some research I finally settled on The Tech Academy's C# and .NET Developer Bootcamp. Wonderful Choice!
As a current student of the tech Academy it’s an awesome school to be a part of, the instructors have spent hours helping me whenever needed and the course work is fairly easy to understand, they take a “build from the ground up” approach which is very helpful to someone with no prior background! Fantastic bootcamp. Got a job!
I really really loved this bootcamp.
I knew almost nothing about programming or web development prior to starting. The way the bootcamp is laid out builds from one concept to the next. The instructors make sure you fully understand each fundamental before moving onto the next which makes sure you really get the basics of programming.
After a few weeks of graduating I got a job as a web developer at a digital marketing agency.

Awesome Introduction for Beginners
I am a recent graduate of The Tech Academy (Python Bootcamp, Full-Time, Online) and I have absolutely no complaints with my experience and time with this great program. From the beginning of your first course, it is very apparent that the instructors and staff care greatly for the students and treat them as humans and not just a number in the system. All of the instructors and staff I interacted with were extremely respectful, kind, and helpful with anything I needed. And their comm...I am a recent graduate of The Tech Academy (Python Bootcamp, Full-Time, Online) and I have absolutely no complaints with my experience and time with this great program. From the beginning of your first course, it is very apparent that the instructors and staff care greatly for the students and treat them as humans and not just a number in the system. All of the instructors and staff I interacted with were extremely respectful, kind, and helpful with anything I needed. And their communication was very timely and informative, as I rarely waited long for a response to an inquiry. The curriculum is heavily geared towards beginners, as opposed to many other boot camps I researched who claimed the same thing, yet required a coding intensive "acceptance exam". This is not the case with The Tech Academy.
I had previously taken a few college computer science courses before entering this program, so I had a bit of a head start, but I have left this boot camp knowing more and having the ability to do much more than before. I was able to refine and improve my skills with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL, among others, thanks to the informative courses and detailed assignments. While I cannot speak for the other boot camps The Tech Academy offers, I can say that the Python Bootcamp is more geared towards Web Development. It is a great intro for anyone who is a beginner or looking into getting into web development, with a little bit of software development mixed in. Although, if you're looking for a more software/algorithm based curriculum, you may want to look at the other boot camps offered. Many of the intro courses you're given in your boot camp, are covered in all of the other boot camps as well and this ensures everyone at least knows the basics of coding and development by the end of their curriculum. For anyone looking into the computer science or coding world, even the most beginners of beginners, I can't recommend The Tech Academy enough.
